Okay so first of all, let us start by defining the terms.
What is Mars and what does it represent?
For this purpose, we are talking about the planet, Mars (Hindi yung chocolate or yung tawagan ng titas of Manila). Specifically, it’s the 4th planet from the Sun, pagkatapos ng ating beloved mother Earth.

What does it mean when a planet is retrograde?

Now, when a planet is in retrograde, dumadaan siya sa part ng orbit niya na pinakamalapit sa atin, since magkatapat tayo for the over-take. Sobrang lumalakas ang energy na nirerepresenta nito, to the point of overload, so ang effect, parang nagkakaroon ng short circuit. In a way, parang may brown out. All the functions of that planet turn inward, bumabaliktad. Nagkakaroon ng confusion at delay, when it comes to what the planet represents.
What does it mean specifically when MARS is RETROGRADE?
Okay so ito na. Una sa lahat, of all planets, pinaka bihira mag retrograde si Mars. It only happens every 2 and a half years more or less, so it’s quite the event.
During this time, a surplus of miscalculations, rush, and haste may cause us to experience intense emotional situations that make us feel stuck, and eventually, tired. This period forces us to re-asses how we get angry, how we assert ourselves, and most importantly, how we navigate and eventually solve conflict.
If your resolve is weak and you are too complacent, these slow-to-progress situations will require you to learn how to move faster, or perhaps be more forceful and assertive. If, on the other hand, you are too hasty and callous, the conflicts that will arise will teach you to learn how to be more patient and understanding. Kasi kung hindi, you will alienate and lose people in the aftermath.
How will the 2022 Mars Retrograde personally affect you?

This year, MARS turns retrograde in the airy sign of GEMINI.
Gemini, the sign of the twins, is an air (mental, cerebral) sign that represents communications, ideas, interaction and connection, among others. Gemini energy is quick, youthful, and insatiably curious; it is about gathering facts, figures and information, for the sheer joy of learning and knowing. It is a sign that likes to share and distribute data, for the mere pleasure of connecting to another.
When Mars turns retrograde in Gemini, our mental activity becomes hyperactive. An almost aggressive need to gather information, to feel entitled to information, even private data, may be felt during this period. Feeling defensive, forcing people to understand your point, or pushing too hard to communicate even if the other party is not ready, may be a trap too easy to fall into, if you’re not careful! Instead of feeling closer to one another, relationships may feel disconnected, even severed. People may initiate arguments unknowingly, and words may be thrown around carelessly, by you, by others, by everyone.
