This month’s Cosmic Weather is extremely busy, but in more ways than one, the energy of October can be likened to a rich, retrograde oasis, almost. Mercury goes direct early within the first week, while Mars turns retrograde at the very last day. What is found in-between this retrograde sandwich is a combination of textures that push and pull, adding or subtracting to the effects of the other, with pressure and sensation, but never with immediate injury.

We experience tension throughout the month, yes, but more the “almost but not quite” sort of awkward energy that still encourages us to move forward, but with a bit of caution. A pleasant Venus-Sun conjunction happens mid-month, giving us comfortable energy, before sliding down to where most of the turbulence lies.

The month progresses, gently guiding our slow descent towards an emotional Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. This solar Eclipse happens in 2 degress of Scorpio, therefore affecting not just fixed signs, but the last degrees of cardinal signs, as well. Part of a series of Eclipses in the Scorpio-Taurus axis, this carries with it the same themes as the previous eclipses in this cycle, which happened May this year.
