How does one begin to describe the impact of this beast of a month that is March? After a relatively peaceful February, the cosmic weather ramps up again, showering us with change that is incredibly difficult to fathom in its entirety. Wala sa frame of reference natin. To further season the energy, a handful of significant annual planetary conjunctions are scattered across the cosmic soup, adding flavor and texture to a course meal that is overtly umami already.
As an appetizer, let’s start with sunshine first. The month opens with the achingly sweet and passionate embrace of our beloved benefics, VENUS and JUPITER, in their annual rendezvous that comes too late and goes too soon. A couple of days of heightened passion and affection conditions us well, a much needed rain of positivity, almost a show of mercy even, from a universe that knows how much we shall need it if we are to survive the month ahead. (But of course, dear reader, this is just dramatic rhetoric, perhaps overselling tragedy for the possible relief of disappointment.) Tabuin ng mabuti ang tamis ng unang linggo. Mid month may feel like we are all trapped in a dream, or, a daydream, one that we cannot seem to get out of. The SUN and eventually, MERCURY, meets up with hazy NEPTUNE in Pisces, casting a thick fog (or is it an underwater filter?) on our perceptions, making us forgetful and absent minded, lost in idealism and imagination. Write notes and take pictures. Document what you must. Memory is not to be trusted, not when Neptune is involved.
Towards the end of the month, MARS finally moves forward, eager to take a dip in Cancerian waters, fully exhausted from his 7-month stay in Gemini, where things got rough and tough alright. From defending the mind, we now push through to defend emotion. We cease to react along the lines of what is logically right or wrong. Mars now plays by the rules of Cancer, and the primary consideration for defense now moves from “Does it makes sense?” to “Does it hurt your heart?”
In the midst of this confusion, two monumental planetary shifts takes place. First up, SATURN changes signs.
After spending the last 5 years in his home signs of Capricorn and Aquarius, Saturn moves forward, plunging headfirst from Airy Aquarius to the depths of the Piscean ocean. Pisces, since 2011, has been under the Spell of Neptune, a siren song lingering in the background, for all to hear. Emotions and blind idealism carry the crown here, and with both the Sun and Mercury passing through, objectivity is fragile and soluble. Too easy to dissolve. It may take a while before Saturn gains his bearings and knocks much needed sense and realism here, almost as a hero that removes the heavy trance from a spell-intoxicated populace. Where ever this lands in your chart is where reality sets in, finally. Magkakabasagan ng trip, dear reader. Hanggang 2026. Marami-raming bubog yun!
and finally, PLUTO enters AQUARIUS, for the very first time since 1797, a full 225 years. Lifetime upon lifetimes.
There is so much to be said about what this means for us, and this probably deserves a whole post all on its own. Clues are scattered all around us, from how we use money, to how we communicate. Bionic humans? Sentient robots? A concrete example is how AI actually helped write the template for this month’s forecast, cutting writing time by almost half!
However, there is something that needs to be said before we close this editorial. Judging by the last 2 sign ingresses of Pluto in recent memory, it is probably best to keep our guards up. Pluto entered Fiery Sagittarius last 1995, and a day after the ingress, the Kobe Japan Mega earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3, happened. Pluto then entered Capricorn (capitalism and institutions) next, and the 2008 financial crisis happened, the week of the ingress. What could happen is as good as anyone’s guess. Another crisis? Alien Invasion? One thing is for sure – it won’t be long until we find out.
