HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
We made it to 2022!!! The past year was not easy for most, not by a long-shot. The last 12 months was all about standing up and trying to rebuild damaged areas of life, brought about by the insanely difficult cosmic weather we’ve had the past 2 years. A lot of us are starting over. Some are adapting well, some are struggling, and some feel like they are totally failing, but the important thing is that we are all trying to move, to rise up, to live, once more.
In more ways than one, this year feels like a collective exhale. In simple terms, I imagine 2022 to be part of an ongoing narrative that started back in the destructive, earthquake year that was 2020. 2021 was about standing up again, and rebuilding what you can little by little. 2022 is a year where in you’ve built something already, no matter how basic and flimsy it may feel. May pagsisimulan na ulit. Updated pa with newly formulated goals and dreams that you never would have considered had parts of your life not collapse the way it did.
Hope, is the central theme of 2022. Jupiter is in Pisces once more, to complete the expansion it started in the area of life where it entered briefly, mid 2021 (May – July). It will continue it to move away from Saturn’s clutches, and finally, after 5 long years of feeling limited in its ability, Jupiter gets to feel like its grand, expansive, generous self again. It then meets up with ethereal Neptune, in an almost magical transit that brings back a spark of hope and optimism in the our present, understandably jaded collective consciousness. This breaks down carefully constructed walls we’ve build around ourselves, to protect us from disappointment, and for the first time in a long time, we are reminded that hope really does float, whether we allow it to, or not.
The nodes change signs too, entering the Taurus-Scorpio axis, bringing lessons on the importance of self-sufficiency and the profoundness of simplicity. With Uranus still in Taurus, Saturn still in Aquarius, and the eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, the fixed signs will most definitely still be highly stimulated for the year. A total sigh of relief won’t come until early 2023, when Saturn leaves Aquarius, so if you are TAURUS, LEO, SCORPIO or AQUARIUS, it’s best to keep your seatbelts on. You may have successfully passed through rocky terrain, but the ride is far from over!
We’ll be discussing alignments monthly as they happen, but for now, here is the general overview of the whole year:
For really specific details on how this year of the collective exhale may affect you, you will need your exact birth time and place, and a competent astrologer who can compute and interpret your charts. However, even without these, knowing the general energies at play can greatly assist in planning ahead. You know the drill!
