VENUS RETROGRADE 2023
Venus turns retrograde this year, from July 23 – September 4, starting its backward motion at 28°36′ all the way back to 12°12′ of the realm of FIXED FIRE, LEO, the sign of the king.
Who will be the most affected?
If you have personal planets or points from 12°12′ to 28°36′ of the fixed signs (TAURUS, LEO, SCORPIO, AQUARIUS), or if you are born under these dates, you are likely to feel this retrograde energy louder than most:

- A Royal Makeover: Leo is the fabulous and extravagant king of the zodiac. When Venus retrogrades here, it’s like a cosmic call for a wardrobe audit! You may be drawn to adding a little more sparkle here and there, kaya pahinga muna ang mga usual attire at ilabas na ang mga don/donya outfit na nakatago! Kung akala mo dati hindi mo keri, ngayon baka biglang bumagay na! Better to rediscover than to buy something new!
- Drama Alert!: Leo loves drama, and so does Venus retrograde! Expect your love life to get a sprinkle (or a downpour) of it. Temptation may be abundant for now. Exes might suddenly slide into your DMs or past misunderstandings might surface in current relationships. Misunderstanding may be abundant as we tend to require and demand more affection and appreciation. Buckle up, and ride the wave, but don’t rush on to do things you may regret after! Try not to take things personally. Emotions normalize eventually, as Venus turns direct.
- Creative Revamp: Leo is definitely artistic and creative, and Venus retrograde is about revisiting the old. Ano ba yung mga creative hobbies mo dati na hindi na ginagawa ngayon after adulting? Why not give them another shot? Balikan mo mga artwork mo dati, lalo na yung mga hindi mo na natapos. You never know, your revisited works might just become your new masterpiece!
- Splurge versus Save: With Leo’s love for luxury and Venus’s rule over money, this might feel like a financial tug-of-war. Medyo mahirap mag control ngayon. One moment, you want to save up for a rainy day, the next, that designer bag is calling your name. There is a need to shine brighter, and usually, this doesn’t come without a cost. VENUS transits a handful of planets, during the course of this retrograde season, creating tense energy exchanges that add texture to our over-all experience.
During the early stages of the retrograde, VENUS Rx passes through MERCURY, and we are held accountable for words we may have callously thrown out in the past. We might have access to hidden information that come out too, around this time. Saying that past words may come back to haunt us may be too dramatic, but this is a Venus Retorgrade in Leo, after all!
Venus marks the midpoint of the retrograde season by passing through the Sun, getting an energetic boost as it next heads towards a complex and tension filled conversation with URANUS, the planet of surprises and unexpected events, and eventually, JUPITER, the planet of abundance and excess.

If you look back and try to remember your experiences 8 years ago, specifically last July 25 – September 6, 2015, you may find clues on what events may unfold for you, kasi similar themes are likely to come up. It may be a bit intimidating, knowing all this, but don’t panic! Baby ka palang nangyayari na ‘yan every 1.8 years, ang difference lang ngayon, may cosmic weather report ka, so you’ll know how to prepare better. For precision, there is no substitute for a thorough personal reading from a competent Astrologer (you need your exact birth time and place for that). Pero kahit wala ‘yon, knowing the general energies at play is still more than helpful.
